How secure is opening an account through Simpleivest?
Investment account opening, risk analysis, and customer investment dashboard services are secured with 128-bit encryption, and sensitive data is encrypted at rest. All client information is transmitted via the secured Docusign system. DocuSign meets and exceeds the most stringent US, EU, and global security standards. DocuSign is ISO 27001:2013 and SSAE 16, SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2 certified and tested internationally – across the entire company and its data centers.
How does Simpleivest make money?
We are a Fee-Only financial advisor and only get paid by the client. As a Fee-Only advisor we are fiduciaries and as such only act in our client’s best interest. We do not accept commissions based on product sales. Fee-Only advisors have fewer inherent conflicts of interest (we must disclose any conflict of interest that exists) and generally provide more comprehensive financial advice.
Simpleivest generates income from performing financial planning and managing our customer’s investment portfolio. Please see pricing page for specific pricing information.
How is Simpleivest able to work with customers remotely?
We recognize that in today’s world people are busy with their daily activities such as work and family with no time left for analyzing their finances. Technology advances in the last few years have made it easy for us to communicate via different digital channels. We work with customers via phone, video conferencing, email, chat, and use screen sharing technology.

Who are Simpleivest clients?

What type of investment accounts does Simpleivest support?
Individual, Joint Tenants in Common, Joint Tenants with Rights of Survivorship, Traditional IRA, Rollover IRA, SEP IRA, and Roth IRA account types are accepted. Additional account types may be added in the future.
Does Simpleivest have custody of customer’s assets?
No. As such all checks and transfers go directly to the custodian. For more information please read our ADV Part 2A.
Who pays for trading cost’s?
Our current portfolio managers utilize no transaction fee ETFs. If the client does incur a short-term trading fee, he or she will be responsible for the charge. Short-term trading fees occur if a position is not held for more than 30 day’s.
What are ETFs?
An exchange traded fund (ETF) is an investment fund that is priced and traded on an exchange throughout the day just like a stock. ETFs hold a basket of securities (stocks, commodities, or bonds), and most track an index. Some benefits when compared to Mutual Funds are lower costs and tax efficiency among other things.
